“Poorly secured products threaten consumer’s privacy”
As more devices in our homes connect to the internet and as people entrust their personal data to an increasing number of services, the cyber security of the Internet of Things (IoT)has become a growing concern. Poorly secured products threaten consumer’s privacy, and some devices are exploited by attackers to: launch large-scale DDoS cyber-attacks, mine cryptocurrency and spy on users in their own homes.

“Consumer Technology Innovations For Better Life.”
External factors unrelated to technology that include a global pandemic and a war have influenced the development and applications of technology. As a result, the world has transformed itself and it continues to evolve and reinvent itself through technology. Technology is a key enabler to enable global transformation driven by comprehensive development, often called Megatrends.
Megatrends coalesce around multiple interacting or mutually dependent developments, last for a long time and have broad impacts not just to technology, but to business, society and the environment. Simply put, they impact all of humanity. This panel of technical experts will talk about some of the Megatrends of interest to attendees of IEEE ICCE.
The emphasis in this panel discussion will be on how these megatrends are changing consumer behavior and the ways consumers use technologies. Subject matter expert speakers will share their observations and experiences on the state-of-the art and future direction of consumer technologies.
