Looking toward the future, Kathleen Kramer connects emerging trends in engineering and technology with opportunities for women and others. She highlights the win-win role that advancing technology can play to create and improve opportunities, both for the future in tech and providing inspiration to its contributors.  Building a sustainable career future includes enabling and inspiring greater advancement and advocacy goals of Women in Engineering.

\n
Kathleen A. Kramer is a\nProfessor of Electrical Engineering at the University of San Diego, San Diego,\nCA, USA. She is a Distinguished Lecturer for IEEE Aerospace & Electronics\nSystems Society (AESS), and an active member of MTT-S and the IEEE Computer\nSociety, among others. She has worked as a Member of Technical Staff at several\ncompanies including ViaSat, Hewlett Packard, and Bell Communications Research. Her\ntechnical interests are in multisensor data fusion and applications of neural\nand fuzzy systems to navigation and data security. She is also internationally known as a leader in\naccreditation and has been named a Fellow of ABET.  She is the 2024 IEEE President Elect, and has\na record of leadership across IEEE, emphasizing especially advancing Women in\nEngineering, Young Professionals, and Student Activities. She received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering magna cum laude\nwith a second major in physics from Loyola Marymount University, and the M.S.\nand Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the California Institute of\nTechnology. \n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n
